We went to the Pleasant Grove fire station today. Ian was excited to see the big fire engines and learn more
about them. He also tried on the heavy fire fighter coat and the fire marshal's hat. The fire marshal, Steve Brande, was the one that delivered Ariana. He was so nice and told Ian all about the truck. I also met, for the second time, a fire fighter that was there when Ariana was born. I didn't recognize him but he said that he was the one that checked my vitals and helped carry the gurnie down the stairs. May God bless the wonderful people that do so so much to help us, especially in those times of need!!

Lake Powell
This past weekend we went to Lake Powell with Advantis (Guillermo's Company). It was a 5 hour drive down but pretty painless. On the way back however, Ariana did this horrible screaming thing where she would just squeal really loud every few minutes. She was just tired of being in the car I think. So that was a fun ride home ; ) While we were there we did lots of different things. I tried wakeboarding for the first time and also surfing. That was well, interesting! No beginners luck for me! I did like the waverunners however, they were easy and very fun. Guillermo jumped off a couple of clifs into the lake, which I knew better than to do because once you're up there everything suddenly seems 10 times higher
than expected and I wasn't about to make the "walk of shame" back down to the boat once I chickened out! lol But I was proud of Guiller
mo for conquering his fears! Ian of course then wanted to jump but all we allowed him to do was jump off the boat. But it was a fun little vacation!!

What's new with the kids?
Ian is learning so much. He has started learning over the past couple of days about stranger safety and how to act in certain situations. We rented a DVD called, "Stranger Safety" that he really likes because its funny but is very educational. He is also practicing his numbers and letters. He is doing a great job and is very smart! We just need to work on the whole attention span thing which will be better as he gets a little older. Ian also wants to be a firefighter! We have been learning about fire safety and the work that firefighters do. I called the Fire Dept today and spoke with Fire Chief, Steve Brande. He is the one that delivered Ariana! He told me to bring him by tomorrow for a personal tour! Ian is stoked!

Ariana is our little funny girl. She loves to play and entertain! She loves to dance! If you put on a song in the car or at home she immediately starts dancing. She moves her little fists up and down and sways side to side or bounces...... very cute! She's my little "no-no girl". I always call her that when she is doing something she knows she shouldn't be doing. Such as......pulling things out of the trash or putting valuables in, climbing on the table, pulling the toilet paper off the roll, climbing into drawers, pulling tiny toys or coins in her mouth, biting, oh did I say biting? This is her #1 method of self-defense! (from Ian) Or just a way to tell you that she's mad! I'll try and post new things as often as possible about what they are doing new.........

Looking through our window.....
through the window of our home you will probably see..... Papi Guillermo relaxing after a day of work, Mama Audrey cleaning up the 1,000th mess of the day while trying to cook, Ian running through the house while teasing his sister in passing, and our little Ariana playing in the floor with something random trying to fight off her big brother. We are "The Bustamantes".................
